Why is the totem maker showing my old skin?

The totem maker may display your old skin for several reasons:

  1. Cached Skin: When you change your Minecraft skin, it can take up to a few days for the updated skin to propagate across all servers and caches.
    1. Solution: Wait for a few days and try again. Eventually, the totem maker should display your updated skin once it's no longer cached.

  2. Recently Changed Skin: If you recently changed your Minecraft skin, it's likely that the old skin is still being cached by your browser or the server.
    1. Solution: Be patient and allow some time for the cache to update. As mentioned earlier, it may take a few days for the changes to fully take effect.

  3. Enter UUID Instead of Username: Sometimes, entering your Minecraft UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) instead of your username can help bypass any caching issues associated with usernames.
    1. Solution: If possible, try entering your Minecraft UUID instead of your username in the totem maker. This can sometimes help retrieve the most recent version of your skin.

  4. Enter a Different Player Username with the Same Skin: In some cases, the totem maker may be able display the correct skin if there's another player with the same skin.
    1. Solution: Double-check who is using your skin by pressing on the from your profile in the skin history. You can also try using a different player username with the same skin to see if it resolves the issue.
